The Fine Print

Check-in time is no earlier than 3:00 p.m. (anytime after is fine) on the Sunday of your week. Check-out time is no later than 10:00 a.m. on the following Sunday. The maximum occupancy is two people. Acadia Getaway does not allow pets and there is no smoking indoors. The house must be left in good condition (broom clean) upon departure. Reservations require a 50% non-refundable deposit. The balance is due no later than two weeks prior to arrival. If for some reason you cannot come, we will make every effort to rent that week to someone else. If we can, the deposit will be refunded.

About the CABIN

Acadia Getaway Cabin (for 1-2 guests) provides comfortable private accommodations with cooking facilities in a rustic Maine woods setting. This romantic, open-framed cabin is available for weekly rentals from mid-May through mid-October. Peak season is from early July until early September.

More than 100 miles of hiking and biking trails are just minutes away. Dine, hike, bike, shop, go on a whale-watch, or swim in the area’s fresh and salt-water beaches. On the deck at twilight, whippoorwills call from the quiet forest. Overhead, stars shine bright.

CABIN Information and Amenities

Accommodations include a comfy, queen-size bed in an open alcove off the living area. Amenities include a full bathroom with shower, outdoor deck, WIFI, TV, access to streaming channels, and local telephone.

Acadia Getaway Cabin is equipped with a six-cubic-foot refrigerator, microwave, 2-burner hot plate, toaster oven, coffee maker, outdoor gas grill, dishes, and utensils. All linens and towels are provided, as are hair dryer, iron, and ironing board. There is a clean-burning wood stove (fuel provided), and heaters for cool evenings, fans for hot days and a soothing heat lamp in the bath. A wide selection of field guides, local histories, maps, brochures, and related literature are on the cabin’s bookshelves. Quiet reading opportunities await you.

The Cabin is located one mile from Eagle Lake. It is on the Island Explorer National Park Shuttle system [routes 6, 7, 9] and it is an easy run/bike into the Park to the Aunt Betty Pond Loop on the Carriage Roads. Bar Harbor License VR2R23-214
