"My wife and I spent last week at the Acadia Getaway Cabin, and we loved it! It is the perfect size for a couple, and it had everything we needed. We really enjoyed opening up all of the doors and windows (there are very nice screens) to feel the breeze, which is a great way to spend the evening after hiking all day. The cabin is conveniently located near the park (maybe a five minute drive to the Cadillac Mountain entrance), and there are entrances to the carriage roads even closer! Beyond the cabin, the caretakers are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!"

"The cabin was perfect! If you're looking for a place to stay that's cozy, comfortable, plenty big enough for two people, and virtually right in the park this is it. The Getaway Cabin was exactly what my wife and I wanted for a week-long anniversay getaway in the woods. It was peaceful at night and gorgeous with the sunrise. The caretakers and owners were friendly and responsive if you needed them but you felt like you were blissfully alone in the wilderness. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to have their own little piece of nature for a moment."

Super close to Acadia National Park entrance, and Eagle Lake and access to Carriage Roads is like a 2 minute drive down the road from the place - fantastic location. Bar Harbor was very quaint as well, and only about a 10 minute drive. Ideal central location to get to all points on Mt. Desert Island. Thanks for sharing your place!"
